Esther Martinez' Bio
Esther Martinez grew up in northern California. She graduated from Pacific Union College in St. Helena, CA in 1995 with a major in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Education. Mrs. Martinez also holds a master's degree from the same institution. Her degree is in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Reading. During college, Mrs. Martinez took one year out to be a student missionary in Chiapas, Mexico where she met her husband, JK.
Mrs. Martinez spent 10 years teaching grades 1-4, along with music and other miscellaneous upper-grade subjects in Ogden, Utah. She is passionate about reading, and considers it a very important responsibility to teach children this basic life skill. Mrs. Martinez also enjoys teaching Bible and science. She states, "These are the two areas through which God speaks to us--nature and His Word. I find real joy and satisfaction in helping children know, understand, and love their Creator Friend, Jesus!"
Mr. & Mrs. Martinez spent two school years as volunteer missionaries at Bangkok Adventist International School in Thailand, the “Land of Smiles” from 2006-2008. The Martinezes moved to Pooler, GA, in 2008.
