June Warren Locke's Bio
June Warren Locke was born in the Bronx, New York City. During her teens she attended high school in New Jersey. She graduated from the State University College of New York at Potsdam, New York with a BS degree in music Education in 1967. In 1969 she obtained her Master of Music degree in piano performance from Boston University where she was a student of Bela Boszormenyi-Nagy. During the summer of 1970 she studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria where she studied piano and the Orff Method of music education.
She was a music teacher for several years in the public schools of New York and New Jersey and has been a private piano teacher for several decades.
June has a daughter Sarah and a two-year-old grandchild, Abby. Besides teaching piano, she enjoys going to concerts, reading, traveling, and cooking.
